Yule: Fifth Day

Solstice Eve

To our delight, it snowed.

With the Solstice lunar eclipse on so many minds, we had an unexpected view of the moon through a light snowfall, hours prior to the eclipse. Our eyelids have grown too heavy, however, and most of the house is in bed after a full day of making, creating, relaxing, cleaning and being together.

Tomorrow we'll wake to a day that will bring us a rebirth of the Sun, longer days and increasing warmth. The darkest days we have withstood and on this winter's eve, we'll sleep well knowing the light returns. Blessed Solstice!

  2. Beautiful photos! How wonderful you got a big beautiful full moon view - we had snow and ice all night, so too overcast to see anything.

Happy Yule to you all! So happy to welcome winter, and to have more light!
