Words from a song my mother taught my sister and I long ago are running through my head at this late hour. Too many late night (early mornings?), perhaps, along with a bit of family gift-giving surprises and excitement this evening, and the fun and work of today is catching up with me and bed is calling.
So with a bawdy tune once sung as a lullaby sung under my breath, I take my tired self off and promise to treat myself to some rest. Be sure you do the same. Find time for rest and kindness to not only others, but to yourself this merry season, and blow those candles out.
