Rest and Relaxation
We woke late to find snow drifts and plowed-in cars, with snow still coming down, this morning. We stayed in pjs for a bit and had a breakfast of Boxing Day leftovers. We didn't have anywhere to be and we were more than content to stay put at home. I spent a good part of the day pouring over the 150 photos from the holiday. Late this afternoon, I made the clam chowder as Alex did the shoveling. Our good friends, Rachael and her kids, from up the hill came over and we caught up over bowls of chowder and cheese and crackers. Noah was game for some guitar playing and Guitar Hero proved to be a hit today, too. It was really good to see them. It was also really good to have a day. A simple, gratifying, warmth-filled day. We look forward to more such days as Alex is on vacation from work for the rest of the week.
That wraps up our Twelve Days of Yule. We have so much to be grateful for, so many blessings, so much love. May it be so with you and yours.
So much beautiful snow. All of ours melted and our world is a gray and brown sludge filled pond (it was in the mid 40's today! in Wisconsin!). Can't wait for more beautiful white stuff.
