Colorful Geometry

This song has nothing, really, to do with the kids' geometry learning, but I thought it was adorable, creative and very colorful.

And for some reason, it made me think of the recent geometry projects Olivia and Adam have been working on.

This week they've been working on tessellations.

They also learned to draw living spirals (or Logarithmic spirals), using the Golden Mean principle. More about sacred geometry here and here.

A few weeks back, they learned to draw circle divisions, (5 point, 6 point, 12 point and 24 point), while learning about circle sectors and segments.

Here's an interesting site site for interactive geometry exploration.

  1. I am a great fan of Sacred Geometry and look forward to reviewing it (again!) with my daughter in just a few weeks. Beautiful blog!
