We got nearly 28-inches of snow during Nemo. We spent Friday and Saturday at home, waiting out the storm and most of Saturday, digging out. Sunday, we drove up to the farmstead to visit Papa and do some more cleaning. The pond was frozen and covered in tracks and ice shacks. Absolutely everything shined brilliant white and blue. I felt very grateful that my family was safe and sound and that we (and our old homes) had all weathered the storm well. I think, perhaps, my family has weathered all our storms well. Winter will last just a handful of weeks more. For now, with views like that out the farmhouse window, I'm perfectly alright with winter acting like winter.
